Well let's be real here, Wall Street did not get bailed out, but a half a dozen banks and a car company or two. Most everything else is running fine. Just the companies controlled by Harvard Democrats (big banks) and deal with heavy Democrat unions (GM, Chrysler).

But i think we agree that the teabaggers are much better, much smarter, and much more effective than whatever this is.

All of it. You basically make a big messy smear argument that smells a certain way but does not stick in the end.

Are you saying low income people are stupid? If so what does that mean, low income people have no voice in the political process? They are automatically wrong? Is there even reliable data on whether poor people are disproportionately baggers? You say they argue for entitlement cuts while Tinker says they argue for defending entitlements. Every TP I know argues for tax cuts wherever they can be found, not tax increases on themselves. And of course there is no evidence the TP is any more pro pollution than say the US President who flies around in Air Force 1. Which you will defend in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

My research has also shown there is nothing unique about the baggers. They appear to be really broad cross section. The urban legend persists however.

1) Entitlements are an unsettled issue in the GOP/baggerverse. Some want privatization, some do but won't say it, some say it and don't mean it, some want as is. Don't know what to tell you beyond that. I honestly don't know what Rick Perry for example wants to do.

2) I've honestly never heard a TP talk about the EPA. I can speak however to the topic at large, as many people think the EPA is a very low yield program, ie the pollution reduction they achieve is at such high cost it is nearly unacceptable. That is a view that I am sympathetic to. However, that does not mean such a person is "pro-pollution".

3) More importantly, my experience in the baggerverse it that their top priorities are a) anti Obamacare, 2) Serious spending reduction 3) A government that is explicitly working for American interests, which would put them at odds with Barack Obama of course.

Damn, I came here hoping there was some reasonable discussion, but it's more Tea Party/Democrat controlled nonsense.

Michael Bloomberg was brought into office as a Republican and Ray Kelly is a Republican. So it has little to do with the city being controlled by Democrats. It's not like the City Council has anything to do with NYPD tactics. So Mr. Perfect as usual is willing to be wrong just to say the word Democrats with a sneer.

The Tea Party stuff is off-topic. So I'll see what I can do to get rid of the stupid back and forth and send it to another thread.
