Obama 2012

When responding to Mr. P earlier this year on Ron Paul, I said that I thought that Obama was practically a lock, at -200 (in betting terms, that is 200 to win 100). Since then, he is at -250, in spite of negative economic and polling reports. While my spirit would like Ron Paul to win, my common sense, along with the historical record of incumbent success, tells me that Obama will be reelected in 2012. So, there is money to be made on the downside to -180 or so, but the line tells me that Obama getting upset is unlikely. Where to buy Ron Paul, if at all? (An aside: Mitt Romney will not win, under any circumstances. The evangelical right WILL NOT support a Mormon, no matter what) We got a problem--the RNC needs a real communicator. I am biased and am willing to be persuaded, but I don't see any challenge to Obama in 2012, outside of an unforeseen emergency.

Worry not Hapax. Prevailing sentiment and winds of the Moirae dictate that he may not even make it to the nominations.

Well that's great but we have to work on your attitude. For crying out loud. Read some positive thinking type books or something. Watch 300. Something like that.

Mr. P.
I admit my lack of enthusiasm, but it is a reaction to the greater world. Obama is still looked at as a great man in many circles. I'm looking to make money if I can't make a positive change.

In my own familial experience, evangelicals will not vote for Romney, though I would. There are very particular criterion to my voting process--Mormons are not disqualified.

I understand. But better men than you or I have faced far more daunting challenges and rose to the occasion and created success. If they can do it, we can do it. What one man can do, another can do, and so forth.

Not to worry, we don't need to handicap Obama vs Paul because the Republicans will never nominate him because the Republican party is not the Libertarian party.

Well it seems like his greatest antipathy is reserved for one Ronald Reagan, and for some reason he is in love with GHWB. It baffles me.

hope to see more hopelessness everywhere
so we can stop this endless seesaw
of two parties talking different
but basically enforcing the same
military industrial congressional
complex in support of private
money creation by parasitic
gordon gecko type banksters
at the fed and its 4 crony
bailed out subsidiaries
and to hell with the people.
time to clean up the whole stinking mess
and clean out the foxes in the chicken coop.
they're not only eating all the eggs
they're eating the chickens.
momma get the shotgun.
and some double ought.

Basically it's like this.
If I can't get the ideological satisfaction, then give me a competent elite.
And CgDs I don't blame the GOP for everything. You should listen to me, and not what Mr. Perfect says that I say. But you're right, I couldn't believe what kind of a farce Bush was and how much the GOP defended him and practically worshipped him.
I am much more into the old-school style of Conservatism. That which is represented by Ron Paul. Not that which is represented by Reagan, which is de-regulate strategic things that make kleptocrats rich.
