I think the TP's are starting to get a little too confident of victory in 2012 and so are unafraid to give voice to the full volume of their fears.

Obviously the Cold war hasn't ended to these people, the collapse of the Soviet Union and the total rejection of Communism by the Russian people was not enough to convince these nutjobs that Communism is over.

Wouldn't surprise me to hear MrP saying that the collapse of the Soviet Union was a ruse to convince America that Communism is over so that Communists could lie in weight for 30 years to start the next revolution at Zuccotti park.

So what will it take to convince these people that Communism is over? I'm guessing nothing and the only cure for this paranoia is the steady progression of time causing the decrease in population of people who were around when this propoganda was at it's most powerful.

A quick look at a Tea party protest will show that most are around 60 so can America handle another 10 years of this extreme paranoia? probably as paranoia has always been a big part of America's psyche.
