You got a letter from Howard Dean? Who would've guessed.

It is correct and wrong.

It is correct that the middle wants Medicare, somewhat, while the middle rejected most STPN/Obamacare in the end. Don't ask me where the middle draws their lines because even with my prowess I cannot figure it out.

It is incorrect that it will produce a Democrat landslide. The GOP will retain the House and will probably pick up a majority in the Senate, and has about 50-50 chance to pick up the White House.

But Gov Dean is in fatal error about Medicare itself, the Democrat approach is the one that will destroy Medicare. The Ryan approach would've left it somewhat intact.

So I am starting to support Howard Dean and oppose Paul Ryan.

Mr. Perfect, are you for the destruction of Medicare because you think it inflates the costs of health care or another reason?

I'm for the destruction of Medicare because it enslaves people to the state, and is economically destructive because it diverts resources that would normally go to savings (and therefore grow the economy) into consumption. The economic devastation caused by our entitlements is an enormous tragedy.

I can definitely agree on that. Entitlements have become a real mess and there are going to be many many seniors that are going to feel the worst poverty of this current recession/depression when they can receive no payment and can't work. I still think there's a middle road in some areas, but I don't have a clear set of guidelines about what should and shouldn't be paid for by the state.

In regards health care, my idealist feeling is that I would rather just pay my doctor my monthly insurance payment. If anyone deserves to own a yacht, it's the person keeping me and the other patients well. Surely there will be other problems that have to be hammered out, like travel insurance and emergency room care, but growing each gp's staff to handle something like health insurance could be a good solution. I also feel that it humanizes the system. The doctor giving me bad news thinks of me more as a person that the insurance agent on the telephone half way across the world. The doctor would be more likely to find a way for me to get treatment than the health insurance company that could sleep well at night after just saying "nah."

Argh, turns out I was duped by the Lewinsky MSM, who didn't exactly tell me the basic info. Curse them and curse me for not doing more homework. Can never trust those people.

It was a 3rd party thing, she probably would not have won otherwise.
