persistent timed out internet connection error

have troubleshot to the point of insanity by phone with comecast....then a dude came and said all is fixed and let him go w/o verifying......modem and router signals all fine...help!

The canary didn't die because this mine is dangerous, it died because it's lazy and wasn't raised with a proper work ethic.

I have had a terrible connection for about three weeks now, especially pronounced in the last two days. Comcast also. My buddy has FIOS and it is shit as well the last couple of days.
