The TSA was a joint effort of both parties under a Republican President. I was a Republican back then, and kept my misgivings to myself, convincing myself that drastic measures were called for in a country apparently on a war footing. I was wrong not to speak out. I regret that, and am owning up to it now.

I don't remember you speaking out at the time, either. Your party shares in this disgrace, and you need to own that. Maybe if the GOP could begin to truly include civil liberties amongst the rights it defends, along with gun and property rights, I would be convinced to rejoin it.

Jesse Ventura is right. The USA is closer to totalitarianism today than ever before in her history.
